Confucianism in the modern age
Confucianism is ridiculed by many, due to it being thought unscientific. It's still a popular religion throughout China and Japan however. The people practicing Confucianism claim that they are blending both the modern and Ancient china to make sure the religion.
It is seen that modern day Eastern Asia is somewhat based on Confucianism, due to the rigorous work ethic that's still deeply ingrained upon the modern society in Asia. This work ethic is believed to be one of the main fuels of economic success in Modern day China and Japan.
Some of the beliefs about relationships still remain in China today. Some of these involve juniors respecting their elders and elders protecting their family's. It's also encouraged that the eldest son in the family takes precedence over and older daughter, as seen throughout Ancient Chinese history.
The modern world hasn't allowed Confucianism to flourish due to the old fashioned ideas on lifestyles and relationships openly snubbed by most of Western society. Yet the Chinese stand by a part of their complex history.
However during the past 3 years China has re-introduced the philosophy claiming that many people were becoming superficial in today's modern world. With many schools opened teaching Ancient China's philosophy. Children as young as three are being taught to write and thet read over the scriptures written by Confucius for his students in his school.
